Today I am going to talk about my plans for the future after
graduate from the career.
I am currently studying the second year of dentistry and
after graduating as a dental surgeon I plan to continue graduate studies. I
think it is too early to decide in which specialty I would like to work because
I still not acquainted to all the areas of dentistry.
When I entered the career I wanted to be an orthodontist
because I occupied brackets and found this job fascinating. Now, in the career I
discovered other areas such as oral rehabilitation, restorative dentistry,
endodontics that I also like very much and I find very interesting.
However, I think that if I have to choose a postgraduate
course today I would choose oral rehabilitation because it is the specialty of
dentistry that is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment plan, rehabilitation
and maintenance of oral functions, such as chewing and phonoarticulation, as
well as the aesthetics of people with clinical conditions stories such as
missing, fractured or worn teeth.
I would like to study abroad, but I haven´t decided yet which
university or country, I have also seen the possibility of postgraduate studies
in Chile and I think I would choose this university. And I would prefer a
part-time course, which would allow me to do a clinical job while I’m studying.
In addition to specializing in some area of dentistry, I
would like to take a master's or doctorate in public health.
it's hard to choose a specialty, these are all interesting.
